Well-moisturized skin is somewhat less prone to developing wrinkles. So what can we do to hydrate our skin?
Many experts tell us drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day ensures proper hydration of the body and helps reduce skin dryness. They recommend drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day. Coffee and sodas are not a good substitute for water because they contain caffeine, which is a diuretic and promotes excretion of water.
Moisturizing from the inside means keeping the body well hydrated. When dehydrated, the body preserves the water supply to critical organs, such as the brain and the heart, but “cuts off water” to peripheral organs such as skin. Therefore, keeping the body well hydrated is an important part of keeping your skin well moisturized.
Feeling good about yourself includes liking what you see in the mirror everyday. To me my mental state is influenced by my level of exercise, the food that I eat, and the way that I feel about myself in general.
Keeping my skin well moisturized is one of the ways that I ensure that I look my best.
In order to function at my highest level I work hard at keeping everything in my life in harmony.
When I feel that I look good, have all the nutrients that my body needs, and get just enough exercise and rest; I feel positive and ready to create the best life that I can imagine.
Thankfully working from home with Occupy the City allows me the freedom to pursue balance in these different areas of life.
