In the e-book “The Seven Great Lies of Network Marketing” Ann Seig reveals what she feels are the seven biggest lies of the network marketing industry.
She starts with what she feels is the largest lie: “Everyone is your prospect.”
Just like “Everyone wants this, they just don’t know it yet!” These lies have resulted in many people being approached as prospects randomly. The network marketer who does this has likely turned their prospects off of network marketing, and these people will not have anything good to say about network marketing in the future.
Trying to pitch your plan to everyone damages the concept of network marketing. It creates images of door to door sales men in the minds of people who one day might consider the network marketing if it was presented to them in a professional manner.
